At Boca Grande Preschool, we provide a nurturing, supportive environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Our research-based curriculum helps each child develop across seven key domains:

Physical — strengthening gross and fine motor skills
Social & Emotional — building self‑confidence, empathy, and cooperation
Language & Literacy — fostering communication, vocabulary, story sense, and readiness for reading
Mathematics & Reasoning — encouraging number sense, pattern recognition, measurement, and problem solving
Social Studies — promoting an understanding of community, relationships, and diversity
Science — inspiring curiosity, observation, exploration, and inquiry
Creative Arts — supporting expression through art, music, movement, and imaginative play

We believe that children learn best through play and meaningful interactions. Every day, children engage in discovery activities, hands‑on projects, and group play that naturally integrate these seven developmental areas.

To support inclusive communication, our preschool also integrates American Sign Language (ASL) into daily routines. This approach helps nonverbal children participate fully and communicate their basic needs more independently.

In our literacy curriculum, we introduce pre‑reading concepts such as letter recognition and phonological awareness using the Fundations Pre‑K Activity Set by Wilson Language Training. Fundations introduces letters and sounds in a systematic, multisensory, and explicit way, helping young learners build a strong foundation for reading and writing.

Additionally, we help children grow in character and interpersonal skills. Through daily routines and guided experiences, they learn:

Core values and responsibility (e.g. helping, sharing, caring)
How to communicate their thoughts and feelings
Effective ways to interact with peers and adults
Conflict‑resolution strategies, so they can resolve disagreements respectfully
