About Boca Grande Preschool
The Boca Grande Preschool has been serving the families of Boca Grande since 1988, when a group of working mothers and island residents recognized the need for local childcare. Originally established as the Boca Grande Child Care Center, we began by caring for children ages 2 to 5 whose families lived and/or worked on the island.
- 1997 – We expanded our services by opening a Toddler Room to welcome children ages 1–2.
- 2012 – The center became a program of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc., enhancing our ability to support the community.
- 2019 – Reflecting our focus on early education, we changed our name to The Boca Grande Preschool.
- 2025 – Following the impact of hurricanes Helene and Milton we became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a slightly changed name:
The Boca Grande Preschool, Inc.
While our structure changed, our commitment to our community and mission has remained the same – to provide high-quality early childhood education to the youngest members of our community.
We are licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families and currently enroll children ages 1 to 5.
The Boca Grande Preschool, Inc. is a nonprofit, nondiscriminatory organization that welcomes children of all faiths and respects the diversity of family structures within our preschool community.
